A Look back at 2012

2012 was a great season. We had such a great experience meeting all of our guests. We did our best to make some improvements this last year and we will continue to do so to remain your premier resort destination on Lake Miltona. April 9th Snow/Ice Report

Snowmobile trails have closed for the season. We'll see you on the trails next year!

 Fishing Report- Substanitial ice remains on the lake & most of the snow has settled into a layer of slush. Very little fishing activity has been seen. It is now possible to get around on ATV's again but be aware of ice conditions and use extreme caution. Traveling alone is not advised.

February 11th Snow & Ice Report

Snow report- A large winter storm brought 12 inches plus snow accumulations to our area blanketing everything in fresh snow. Once the plows are done clearing the roads the local association should begin grooming mid-week. Trails should be in excellent condition.

January 31st Snow & Ice Report

Fishing/ice- The walleye bite continues to be the best towards evening with anglers catching many smaller eyes with keepers mixed in. Continue using a jigging presentation with either a macho minnow or swedish pimple style bait tipped with a minnow head. January 21st Snow & Ice Report

 Fishing/Ice- Sub zero temperatures and high winds has slowed fishing pressure lately but good fishing reports continue to come in. Walleyes have been feeding late afternoon into the evening. January 14th Snow & Ice Report

Ice conditions continue to improve on Miltona with 12" -18" of good ice. More and more ice houses are popping up around the lake. The best time for fishing contiues to be morning and the hours at sunset. 4-6pm seems to be the hot time where the eye's really start to bite consitantly. Hope everyone had a happy holiday! Ice conditions on Miltona have improved greatly over the past week with ice thickness ranging from 8-12 inches and growing. Frigid temperatures has produced solid ice and anglers are now placing perminant ice housed all over the lake. Dec. 17th Snow & Ice Report

Anglers are walking portable shelters out onto the ice close to shore. A few snowmobiles have been seen riding around the perimeter of the lake but no vehicles or shacks have been seen anywhere near the main basin. December 11th Snow & Ice Report

8-10 inches of snow fell in the Alexandria area this weekend and brought high winds with it. Snowmobilers have started venturing out even though many of the DATA trails remain closed due to unsafe ice-conditions. Lake Miltona has iced over but venturing out on the ice is not yet reccomended as the snow has blanketed the ice making danger areas unseen. Many people are eager to get on the ice but…
